GUARDIAN Homes and Retired dogs
What is a Guardian home?
A guardian home is where you get to have one of our male or female dogs, but they are still apart of our program. That means that the dog will live with you like a normal pet and that you will be responsible for their needs: food, water, vet care, grooming etc. After we have decided to retire the dog from our program, we will spay/neuter the dog and then you get to keep them free of charge.
What this looks like:
For a Female:
-During her heat cycle, we will take her to our home so she can be bred, then we will return her to you. She will then return to us for the last two weeks of pregnancy and stay with us until her puppies no longer need her. After the babies no longer need their mom, we will return her to you. Further details can be discussed if you are interested in becoming a guardian home.
For a Male:
- We will use him for stud service whenever needed. This can take place at your house if you live close enough and are comfortable with that, or we may take the male for a week or so, and then return him. Details can be discussed about the options.
We are looking for guardian homes for Hank and Dude! Please contact if interested!
Retired Dogs:
While we do not have retired dogs available often, we do occasionally. As much as we love our dogs, we cannot keep them all. Once a dog is retired from our program, we will spay/neuter them and find them a forever home. Retired dogs are a great option for someone who cannot afford a puppy since they are placed at a discounted price or for someone who is looking for a dog but doesn't want to raise a puppy. Please contact us for availability.
