More information about our program and Puppy information
- Puppies are born in a bedroom across the hall from where we sleep, they are in that room until 3 weeks of age. At that time we move them to the Dining/Living rm area and then when old enough they graduate to the big kid set up in our house.
- We start early desensitization at one week of age, introducing them to different touches and smell, as they get older they are introduced to more touch, smell and sounds.
- We do not support tail docking and dew claw removal. Our Cockapoos are natural and stay that way from birth. Unfortunately, our Cocker Spaniels are AKC and have to go by the AKC standards unless a puppy buyer has selected a puppy prior to the vet appointment and request the puppy be left natural and have paid the reservation fee. Tail Docking and dewclaw removal is done between day 3 and 5. Its a horrible procedure that is very painful for the puppies and causes mom stress when her babies are taken away for an appointment. We hope that someday, this will become illegal as it is in other countries.
- Our adults have all been genetically screened prior to breeding.
- Our puppies are examined and vaccinated by our veterinarian prior to leaving and have received age appropriate dewormings
- Our reservation fees are non refundable but can transfer to other litters. Please do not request a refund if you decided to not follow through for any reason.
- To be on the wait-list or to reserve an available puppy we must first have either messaging or a phone call with you. This is for us to learn more about your home, family and other pets if any. We then decide if you are a good fit and can proceed to the reservation fee being paid.
- We do not provide a way to pay from our website as we want to have communication prior to any funds being sent and want to feel comfortable placing a puppy in your care. We do however prefer payment for the reservation fee to be via Zelle or Mail a check. if neither on of those are possible we can discuss some other options that are not business accounts. At delivery or Pick up, we would request you pay cash for the remaining balance due.
- Our wait list gets first selections. Selections start after five weeks of age. We contact people in order of the date they paid the reservation fee. If we are not able to reach you after 24 hrs, we will go on to the next person on the list. If you reserve a puppy and then change your mind, but want to stay on the list, you will be moved to the bottom of the waitlist for the next litter. After selections are done, we will send updated pictures every 10 days and occasional videos. The puppies well beings come first and foremost. The older they get the more work we have, so please understand that life gets a bit chaotic when puppies are 6 to 8 weeks old.
- Puppies go home at 8 weeks of age or possibly a few days after or before. We try and schedule that on a weekend when it works best for most. We will give you a go home date. If a puppy stays beyond the go home date, we will charge a boarding fee, until you can come pick up or make arrangements for delivery. There are exceptions to this depending on each circumstance, so we can discuss at that time. We charge $100 per week or $20 per day if less then 5 days (unless otherwise discussed, again there are always exceptions)
- Two weeks prior to puppies leaving we email all the paperwork. Please see the website page that has examples of the paperwork.
- Puppies leave with a bag of food, their health record and a heartbeat stuffed animal (when available)
